About the Role:
We are seeking a Contract Infrastructure Manager / Infrastructure Lead to design, implement, and manage a new Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environment from the ground up. This is a hands-on technical leadership role responsible for building secure cloud infrastructure, implementing governance standards, and leading the technical execution of transitioning from a legacy environment. The ideal candidate will drive engineering initiatives while establishing operational processes and best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement Azure landing zones, networking architecture, and governance aligned with Microsoft best practices
- Build and manage Azure IaaS and PaaS infrastructure including compute, storage, networking, monitoring, and security services
- Establish and manage Microsoft 365 services including Entra ID, Conditional Access, MFA, Intune, and Microsoft Defender
- Lead infrastructure architecture, standards, and operational frameworks to ensure reliability and scalability
- Perform hands-on troubleshooting, incident response, and root cause analysis across cloud, network, server, and endpoint environments
- Support strategic infrastructure initiatives including migrations, site deployments, and security improvements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure infrastructure supports application, data, and service delivery requirements
- Implement automation and infrastructure-as-code using PowerShell and modern DevOps practices
- Assist with integrating new acquisitions and environments into the modern cloud infrastructure platform
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of infrastructure engineering or systems administration experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure infrastructure (landing zones, VNets, firewalls, subscriptions, governance)
- Experience managing Microsoft 365 environments including Entra ID, Intune, Exchange Online, Teams, and SharePoint
- Solid understanding of enterprise networking concepts including routing, switching, VPNs, and firewall management
- Experience with hybrid Active Directory environments, DNS, DHCP, certificates, backup, and disaster recovery
- Strong troubleshooting skills and experience handling complex production incidents
- Experience working with Jira or similar ticketing systems
- Knowledge of automation and scripting (PowerShell) and familiarity with modern infrastructure automation practices
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-moving, greenfield environment
Preferred Skills:
- Experience implementing Azure governance frameworks and security standards
- Exposure to AI-driven automation tools for IT operations
- Experience supporting infrastructure during mergers, acquisitions, or system migrations

Compensation & Location
Salary: $100,000 – $140,000 per year (Estimated)
Location: Kennesaw, GA
