About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Integration Architect to provide technical leadership for secure, scalable, and maintainable SaaS data integrations and target-state platform designs within the Risk, Legal, Compliance, and Learning Systems domain. You will define integration architectures spanning applications, APIs, event and data pipelines, and cloud-native services. Your role will involve setting direction for reusable components, integration patterns, and nonfunctional standards, and driving their adoption across teams. You will partner with Product Owners, Tech Leads, and other architects to convert strategic requirements into end-to-end solution designs that guide engineering delivery. Additionally, you will influence platform strategy, identify gaps, and recommend improvements that strengthen reliability, performance, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect and Design: Partner with tech leads to design integration patterns for SaaS platforms, internal systems, and external partners. Develop end-to-end solution proposals covering functional design, data flows, security, and operational requirements. Create and maintain architecture diagrams, interface catalogs, and technical specifications. Conduct Buy versus Build analysis comparing architecture fit, cost factors, implementation effort, and long-term maintainability.
  • SaaS and Platform Capabilities: Assess SaaS platform capabilities against business needs and integration requirements. Map technical features of existing and proposed SaaS solutions to domain use cases. Review vendor roadmaps and highlight risks or gaps relevant to compliance-sensitive processes. Provide architectural oversight for configuration, customization, and data extraction strategies.
  • Technical Leadership: Demonstrate ability to work with the enterprise architecture team and contribute to developing and realizing the target state. Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, ensuring adherence to all organizational architecture standards, patterns, frameworks, and industry best practices in architecture and design. Capable of performing occasional code reviews and providing guidance on coding best practices. Be a thought leader in identifying and developing new standard patterns, solution building blocks, and best practices to enable efficient solution design and delivery.
  • Solution Level Architecture Support: Maintain end-to-end domain-level architecture landscape views (logical, security, and deployment diagrams – current and target state). Develop and maintain OKR/Project level solution architecture and design (logical, security, and deployment arch views diagrams, low-level solution design), ensuring compliance with NFR and other solution patterns.
  • Integration and Data Architecture: Define integration approaches using APIs, event streams, ETL pipelines, and workflow automation. Validate data models, data quality requirements, and retention standards for regulated domains. Work with security partners to align designs with access control models, audit needs, and data privacy requirements.
  • Governance and Standards: Constructively challenge enterprise architecture recommendations when alternatives provide better outcomes for the business and the enterprise. Align design proposals with engineering standards, cloud patterns, and operational practices. Support architecture reviews, risk assessments, and technical approvals.
  • Collaboration and Delivery Support: Work with Scrum teams to guide architecture during refinement, sprint planning, and technical decisions. Provide solution oversight through development, testing, and release planning. Communicate architecture choices, tradeoffs, and impacts to business and technical stakeholders.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain high-quality technical documentation supporting the development process, including architecture decision records, design specs, system architecture diagrams, and reusable patterns.
  • Solution Governance: Present and obtain approval on solution designs from governance bodies.

Required Experience:

  • 8+ years in software engineering, with 4+ years in solution architecture for enterprise systems.
  • Proven record designing end-to-end solutions across SaaS, custom apps, and integrations.
  • Strong ability to translate business goals into target state and incremental roadmaps.
  • Hands-on experience integrating SaaS platforms using REST, webhooks, GraphQL, and event streaming (e.g., Kafka).
  • Familiarity with iPaaS/ESB (e.g., MuleSoft, Boomi, Informatica, Azure Integration Services).
  • Experience with API management, versioning, throttling, and monetization where applicable.
  • Depth in at least one major cloud (Azure, AWS, or GCP), including networking, identity, storage, and managed services.
  • Identity and access management: SSO, SAML, OAuth 2.0, OIDC; RBAC/ABAC authorization patterns.
  • Compliance-aware design for regulated data (e.g., SOX, GDPR, HIPAA depending on use case).
  • Governance participation: ADRs, architecture reviews, risk assessments, threat modeling (e.g., STRIDE).
