Role: Tableau Administrator with Server Migration experience

We are seeking a skilled Tableau Administrator with specific experience in server migration to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and supporting the migration of Tableau servers to a new data center, ensuring minimal disruption to development and production environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Devise a comprehensive plan to build new Tableau servers in a new data center.
  • Manage the migration of legacy server names with minimal impact to development and production environments.
  • Document server details, migration plans, and timelines meticulously.
  • Execute the migration of the non-production server.
  • Provide ongoing support and adjustments as needed post-migration.
  • Execute the migration of the production server.
  • Provide ongoing support and adjustments as needed post-migration.
  • Ensure the stability and performance of Tableau Server environments, including clusters, users, workbooks, and gateways.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Tableau Server functionality, connectivity, and performance.
  • Maintain and update documentation for server configurations, migration processes, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation and integration of Tableau solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Tableau features, best practices, and industry trends.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Tableau Server Administrator.
  • Demonstrated experience with Tableau Server Migration projects, including planning and execution for both non-production and production environments.
  • Experience with Tableau Clusters, managing Users, Workbooks, and Gateways.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills related to Tableau Server.
  • Experience in documenting technical processes and plans.
  • Familiarity with server infrastructure and data center environments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Salary: $100,000 – $140,000 per year (Estimated)
