Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced .NET Developer with 9+ years of experience to join our team in Arlington, VA. This role requires a strong background in C#, .NET, and experience in the banking domain. The developer will be part of an Agile squad, contributing to the design and implementation of industry-leading applications within the Wealth Management sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement industry-leading applications as part of the Brokerage WMPT team.
- Lead the design and development of multi-tiered Java EE-style applications.
- Develop backend services with expertise in Java.
- Be fluent in Spring, databases, and database interface layers, along with associated Java development tools.
- Interface regularly with other teams, including internal IT teams across Wealth Management, BA teams, QA teams, and global development teams.
- Understand the banking technology landscape and offer creative solutions.
- Integrate current capabilities, vendor capabilities, and proprietary system builds.
- Adapt to changing business requirements.
- Work in an Agile Squad as a full-stack developer.
- Review code and contribute to design discussions.
- Ensure high quality of deliverables while enforcing development best practices.
- Adhere to application development guidelines and help improve them.
- Understand and implement security guidelines and best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve errors or critical issues.
- Mentor junior developers and share knowledge with the team.
- Demonstrate features built as part of the sprint to business stakeholders.
- Actively contribute and participate in sprint grooming and planning discussions, daily stand-ups, and Agile ceremonies.
- Work on Proofs of Concept (PoCs) to adopt newer technologies and frameworks.
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 9+ years of overall experience.
- 3+ years of experience in the banking domain.
- 3-5+ years of hands-on experience in C#, .NET, and related technologies.
- Hands-on experience in integrating and working in a Java full stack environment.
- Hands-on experience in working on multi-threaded, highly available applications.
- Hands-on experience in working with Core Java, Spring, Spring Boot, RESTful web services.
- Practical experience working with databases (preferably DB2) and database interface layers.
- Effective communication skills, ability to work across Business users and IT teams across regions.
- Ability to lead IT deliverables.
- Understanding of agile development methodologies.
- Understanding of DevOps practices and tooling.
- Proven experience in working within an Agile framework.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in collaborating with partners and stakeholders across geography & time zones.
- Exposure to JIRA or other ALM tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- UNIX experience (any scripting language).
- Prior knowledge of Autosys, Kafka, MQ, and other streaming platforms.
- Awareness of UI technologies such as JavaScript, CSS, and HTML, Angular.
- Knowledge of Financial markets, Banking & Wealth Management.
- Prior experience working in the Financial Services Industry.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $90,000 – $150,000 per year
Location: Arlington, VA
