Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Azure DevOps Data Engineer to join our team. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining data solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Azure services, data warehousing, ETL/ELT processes, and automation.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse Analytics.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures for data manipulation and analysis.
- Implement and manage data storage solutions using Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS) and Azure SQL Database.
- Automate data processes and infrastructure using Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Monitor data solutions using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all data platforms.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data pipelines and infrastructure.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Azure services and DevOps best practices.
Required Skills and Experience
- 12-15+ years of experience in data engineering and DevOps.
- Deep knowledge of Microsoft Azure services, including:
- Azure Synapse Analytics (SQL pools, Spark pools, pipelines)
- Azure Data Factory (pipelines, triggers, data flows)
- Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS)
- Azure Monitor
- Proficiency in SQL (T-SQL, query optimization) and Oracle.
- Strong programming skills in Python.
- Experience with PowerShell or Bash for automation.
- Solid understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, data warehousing, and big data concepts.
- Experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
- Familiarity with APIs.
Certifications
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203) is required.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400) is highly valued.
Job Details
- Contract: 6+ Months with extension possibilities.
- Location: Irving, Texas 75038.
- Work Model: Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days remote).
- Must be local to the Irving, Texas area.

Compensation & Location
