Job Overview

We are looking for a Senior Java Backend Developer with a strong focus on backend development and API creation for an onsite role in Chandler, AZ. This position requires candidates who are local to the area. The role involves developing and maintaining microservices, RESTful APIs, and working with various database technologies. Experience in an Agile environment and with cloud migration is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain robust backend services and APIs using Java and Microservices architecture.
  • Design, implement, and manage database solutions using Oracle, Mongo, or similar technologies.
  • Utilize Spring Boot for application development.
  • Implement and manage message queuing systems like Kafka.
  • Work within an Agile (Scrum or Kanban) development environment.
  • Contribute to test automation efforts, including BDD, Selenium, and Cucumber.

Required Technical Skills

  • 5+ years of Software Engineering experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in Application Development using Java and Microservices, Rest API.
  • 5+ years of experience using Database Technologies such as Oracle, Mongo.
  • 3+ years of experience using Spring Boot.
  • 2+ years of experience using Kafka.
  • 2+ years of experience working in an Agile working environment such as Scrum or Kanban.
  • Experience in BDD, Selenium and Cucumber, Test Automation (unit and functional).

Nice to Have

  • 2+ years of experience building relationships with stakeholders and vendors.
  • 2+ years of experience in Migrating Applications to Cloud such as Google, Azure, or PCF.
  • A certification in Cloud is a plus.
  • Experience in the Financial Industry is a plus.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $55 – $75 per year (Estimated)
