Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated Associate Data Engineer with strong Python skills to support the development of data pipelines, orchestration services, and automation solutions. The ideal candidate will have foundational knowledge in data science, strong SQL and database skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a global team environment. Exposure to the finance or investment banking domain is highly desirable.

Role Overview:

  • Develop and maintain robust data pipelines and orchestration services.
  • Implement automation solutions to streamline data-related processes.
  • Collaborate with global teams to ensure effective data management and analysis.
  • Contribute to the development of data science initiatives.
  • Work with various database systems and query languages, with a preference for SQL.
  • Adhere to software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
  • Communicate project goals, tasks, and deliverables clearly to team members.
  • Adapt to new technologies, including AI-driven development approaches.

Required Technical Skills:

  • Strong Python programming skills for building data pipelines, orchestration services, and automation solutions.
  • Experience with Python libraries such as Pandas and NumPy is a plus.
  • Foundational knowledge of data science concepts, including working with structured data and basic statistical principles.
  • Strong knowledge of databases, data structures, and query languages (SQL preferred).
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members regarding project goals, tasks, and deliverables.
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Willingness to learn and adopt new technologies, including AI-driven development approaches.
  • Knowledge of Java or other object-oriented programming languages is a plus.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience demonstrating the required skills.
  • Prior exposure to the finance or investment banking domain is preferred.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $120,000 – $180,000 per year (Estimated)

Location: New York City, NY
