Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced QE Delivery Manager to lead and manage Quality Engineering teams, ensuring high-quality delivery across programs and projects. This role is based in Denver, Colorado, with an onsite requirement. The manager will oversee QE planning, strategy, execution, resource management, and continuous improvement, collaborating closely with onsite stakeholders, engineering teams, product owners, and business partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivery & Execution: Own QE delivery from offshore across multiple programs or product lines. Ensure all test activities (functional, automation, performance, accessibility, security testing) are executed with high quality and on schedule. Oversee the creation and maintenance of test strategies, test plans, and test metrics. Drive adoption of modern QE practices, including shift-left, CI/CD integration, automation-first mindset with AI infusion, and quality gates. Ensure defect tracking, triage, and root-cause analyses are performed effectively.
  • Leadership & Team Management: Lead, mentor, and manage offshore QE teams (Test Leads, SDETs, Manual Testers, Automation / AI Engineers). Hire, develop, and retain talent; provide coaching and career development. Manage staffing, forecasting, and resource planning to meet delivery commitments. Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary offshore QE delivery interface for onsite managers, product owners, and engineering leadership. Communicate project status, risks, and dependencies proactively. Ensure alignment with onsite leads on release readiness, quality expectations, and timelines. Manage vendor or partner interactions (if applicable).
  • Process Excellence & Governance: Implement and enforce QE processes, standards, and best practices. Drive metrics-based delivery using KPIs such as automation coverage, defect leakage, execution efficiency, DRE, and cycle times. Lead quality audits, compliance activities, and governance reporting. Identify improvement opportunities and drive transformation initiatives.
  • Technical & Domain Expertise: Guide teams on test automation frameworks, tools, and technologies. Support architecture discussions for QE tooling ecosystem. Ensure teams are equipped to test microservices, APIs, cloud-based solutions, and modern platforms. Stay current on industry trends in DevOps, CI/CD, AI/ML in testing, and test automation.

Qualifications We Seek

  • Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors or masters degree in engineering, Computer Science, or related field. 18-20+ years of experience in Quality Engineering with at least 6-8 years in QE leadership/management. Proven offshore delivery experience in a global distributed environment. Demonstrated success managing QE teams across Agile/Scrum/Scaled Agile (SAFe) environments. Strong understanding of QA methodologies, automation, performance testing, and DevOps pipelines. Hands-on knowledge of automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, etc.). Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.). Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP). Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Preferred Qualifications/ Skills: Experience working with global teams in large enterprise environments. Certifications in Agile, SAFe, ISTQB, or similar. Exposure to AI-driven test automation tools.

Work Environment

This is an onsite role in Denver, Colorado. Candidates looking for a remote option will be required to work from the office for one week each month, with all travel and accommodation expenses borne by the candidate.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $150,000 – $190,000 per year (Estimated)
