Job Description: C++ Developer

We are looking for a skilled C++ Developer to join our team. This role involves standard Linux application programming and refactoring existing C++ software, with a focus on the user space/device driver interface boundary.

  • Role: C++ Developer
  • Location: Milpitas, CA

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Standard Linux application programming.
    • Refactoring existing C++ software.
    • Working on the user space / device driver interface boundary (ioctl, mmap, sysfs).
  • Requirements:
    • Strong experience with Linux user-space software development.
    • Proficiency in C/C++.
    • Solid understanding of Linux OS fundamentals, including processes, memory, threading, and I/O.
    • Hands-on experience integrating applications with Linux device drivers.
    • Familiarity with user-kernel interaction mechanisms such as ioctl, mmap, shared memory, and sysfs.
    • Strong debugging skills using GDB, logs, and Linux diagnostic tools.
    • Experience working with RedHat Linux.
  • Additional Pointers from Manager:
    • Standard Linux application programming.
    • Refactoring existing C++ software.
    • User space / device driver interface boundary (ioctl, mmap, sysfs).
