Job Description: GIS Application Developer

We are seeking a skilled GIS Application Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in GIS application development, particularly with Hexagon Intergraph technologies and .NET development. This role involves working with a leading energy and utilities company to maintain and enhance their existing GIS infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain GIS applications using Hexagon Intergraph technologies.
  • Design, develop, and implement .NET applications (C#, .NET Framework) to support GIS functionalities.
  • Integrate GIS applications with other systems and databases.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to GIS applications and data.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver effective solutions.
  • Work with Oracle SQL, PL/SQL for database operations and performance tuning.
  • Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Ensure the security and integrity of GIS data and applications.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and tools.

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in GIS application development.
  • 5+ years of experience with Hexagon Intergraph technologies (G/Technology, G/Net Viewer, etc.).
  • 5+ years of .NET development experience (C#, .NET Framework, APIs, integrations).
  • Prior experience working in the Energy & Utilities industry.
  • Strong experience with Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, and performance troubleshooting.
  • Experience working in Windows Server environments.
  • Solid understanding of Agile processes and tools (Jira).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and collaboration abilities.

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Experience with FME, ESRI, or other geospatial transformation tools.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows.
  • Understanding of enterprise integration patterns and API management.
