Job Title: Ab Initio Developer
We are seeking an experienced Ab Initio Developer for a fully remote, long-term contract position. This role requires strong hands-on experience with Ab Initio and a solid understanding of cloud technologies, particularly AWS.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and deploy ETL processes using Ab Initio.
- Work with cloud migration projects, specifically moving data pipelines from on-premises to AWS.
- Utilize AWS services such as Amazon S3 and Amazon Redshift for data storage and processing.
- Apply strong SQL skills for data warehousing and data modeling tasks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity and project success.
- Optimize ETL processes for performance and cost-efficiency within AWS environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data pipelines and ETL jobs.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Proven, hands-on experience with Ab Initio.
- Extensive experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), specifically Amazon S3 and Amazon Redshift.
- Demonstrated experience in cloud migration projects, including migrating data pipelines from on-premises to AWS.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and a solid understanding of data warehousing concepts (ETL design, data modeling).
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Experience with performance optimization and cost optimization in AWS environments.
- Exposure to other ETL tools or scripting languages (Shell, Python).
- Familiarity with basic DevOps practices.
