Job Summary:
We are seeking an Actuary Analyst to join our team. This role is responsible for understanding and analyzing assigned state requirements and completing the state filing process. This includes developing rates, performing trend analysis, revising rates, preparing documentation for the Department of Insurance (DOI), obtaining sign-off from the Lead Actuary, and coordinating responses to any DOI objections.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently apply complex technical and actuarial methodologies, along with proficient actuarial knowledge, to complete unstructured projects.
- Select and ensure the quality of data used for trend analysis to support rate level indications.
- Translate business problems into technical requirements.
- Run required models and interpret/communicate results to support business activities.
- Execute and enhance a strong control environment with guidance from a Director of the respective Line of Business.
- Utilize actuarial, mathematical, or statistical techniques to augment actuarial work product.
- Apply understanding of products supported, stakeholder needs, and industry trends to solve unstructured business problems.
- Ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
