Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior AEM Developer to join our dynamic team in New York, NY. This is a hybrid role that requires a deep understanding of the Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) ecosystem, specifically version 6.4 and above, including AEM as a Cloud Service. The ideal candidate will have 8-10 years of professional experience in software development with a strong focus on digital experience platforms and enterprise-level Java applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable, and secure AEM applications using AEM 6.4+ and AEM as a Cloud Service.
- Implement complex components, templates, and workflows using Sightly (HTL), OSGi services, and Sling models.
- Integrate AEM with third-party systems using REST and SOAP web services, ensuring seamless data flow and functionality.
- Utilize Java 8 or above, Spring Boot, and JDBC for backend development and database connectivity.
- Work closely with front-end developers to integrate HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks like Angular or React into the AEM environment.
- Manage build processes using Gradle and NPM, and maintain version control using Git and Bitbucket.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, preferably Scrum, and contribute to continuous improvement within the DevOps and CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
- Perform database operations and optimizations using Sybase or SQL Server, including writing complex PL/SQL scripts.
Technical Requirements
- Extensive experience with AEM 6.4/6.5 and AEM Cloud Service.
- Strong proficiency in Java 8+, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
- Hands-on experience with web technologies: HTML5, CSS, SCSS, JS, Bootstrap, jQuery, and React/Angular.
- Solid understanding of build tools like Gradle and NPM.
- Experience with database systems such as Sybase or SQL Server and PL/SQL.
- Proficiency with development tools: IntelliJ, Visual Studio Code, Jenkins, and Bitbucket.
- Scripting knowledge in Unix/Bash or Python is highly desirable.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $145,000 – $185,000 per year (Estimated)
