Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced AEM Technical Architect for a high-impact, long-term contract engagement supporting Blue Acorn iCi and Toyota Motor Corporation. This role is based in Plano, Texas, and requires a hybrid work schedule with at least three days per week onsite at the Toyota corporate office. As a Technical Architect, you will be responsible for the end-to-end technical design, development, and delivery of enterprise-level web solutions using the Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) platform. This is a critical role within the digital transformation initiative, focusing on creating scalable, high-performance digital experiences for one of the world’s leading automotive brands.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architectural design and implementation of AEM-based solutions, including AEM Sites, Assets, and Forms.
- Define technical standards and best practices for AEM development, ensuring code quality, performance, and security.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product owners, UX/UI designers, and backend engineers, to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Oversee the development of custom AEM components, templates, and OSGi services using HTL, Java, and JCR.
- Optimize AEM performance through Dispatcher configuration, caching strategies, and CDN integration.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of developers, conducting code reviews and guiding architectural decisions.
- Manage the integration of AEM with third-party systems, including Adobe Analytics, Target, and various CRM/ERP platforms.
- Drive the adoption of CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native hosting solutions to streamline deployment processes.
- Translate complex Figma designs into modular, reusable AEM components while maintaining design integrity.
Technical Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of professional web development experience.
- At least 5 years of dedicated experience in AEM Architecture and development.
- Expert-level proficiency in Java/J2EE and the AEM technology stack (OSGi, Sling, JCR, HTL).
- Strong front-end skills, including HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Proven experience in AEM Performance Tuning and Dispatcher Optimization.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in managing technical teams and complex projects.
- Experience with Adobe Experience Cloud products like Adobe Analytics and Adobe Target is highly preferred.
- AEM Architect or Developer Certification is a significant plus.
Project Environment
This project offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of a premier digital agency (Blue Acorn iCi) and a global automotive leader (Toyota). The contract is initially for one year, with a strong likelihood of extension or conversion to a full-time permanent position based on performance and project needs. Compensation & Location
Salary: $200,000 – $280,000 per year (Estimated)
