Position Summary
Maintec is looking for a forward-thinking AI Architect to lead the development of cutting-edge artificial intelligence and data solutions. This remote position is ideal for a professional who is passionate about Microsoft Fabric, Generative AI, and modern data architectures. You will be responsible for designing and implementing enterprise-grade AI agents, RAG pipelines, and semantic models that drive business value for our global clients.
Core Responsibilities
- Architect and build end-to-end data solutions using Microsoft Fabric, including Lakehouse, Warehouse, and Data Factory components.
- Develop advanced AI-powered analytics and knowledge agents utilizing LLMs, embeddings, and semantic search.
- Design and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines to enhance AI model accuracy and relevance.
- Utilize PySpark and Python to create scalable data processing notebooks and automated workflows.
- Collaborate with senior consultants to deliver high-impact client demos and technical documentation.
- Lead the integration of AI capabilities into existing enterprise applications using APIs (FastAPI, Node.js, or .NET).
- Ensure the robustness of solutions through Git-based version control and CI/CD best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Strong foundational knowledge in SQL, Python, and data engineering concepts like Medallion Architecture.
- Deep interest or experience in Microsoft Fabric and its ecosystem (Lakehouse, Notebooks, etc.).
- Understanding of AI concepts including Large Language Models (LLMs) and vector databases.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a rapidly evolving technological landscape.
Preferred Qualifications
- DP-600 (Microsoft Fabric Analytics Engineer) certification or active preparation for the exam.
- Hands-on experience with Azure AI services, Copilot integrations, or knowledge-assistant use cases.
- Familiarity with frontend technologies like React or Next.js for building AI interfaces.
- Experience with containerization (Docker) and cloud deployment strategies.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $170,000 – $230,000 per year (Estimated)
