About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled AI Engineer / Applied AI Developer, not an Analyst, to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong hands-on development skills and a genuine passion for building AI-powered proof-of-concepts and exploring cutting-edge AI capabilities. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, research-driven environment and is adept at problem-solving with excellent critical thinking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement AI solutions, focusing on practical applications and proof-of-concepts.
- Explore and integrate cutting-edge AI technologies, particularly large language models (LLMs).
- Utilize Python for development, demonstrating intermediate to advanced proficiency.
- Quickly build working proof-of-concepts to validate AI ideas and functionalities.
- Apply strong analytical and critical thinking skills to solve complex AI challenges.
- Engage in prompt engineering and function calling within LLM frameworks.
- Integrate APIs and effectively handle both structured and unstructured data.
- Collaborate within a development team, utilizing Git for version control.
Must-Have Technical Skills:
- Python: Intermediate to advanced proficiency is essential.
- Proof-of-Concept Development: Proven ability to rapidly build functional prototypes.
- Analytical & Critical Thinking: Strong problem-solving capabilities.
- LLM Experience: Expertise in prompt engineering and function calling.
- API Integration: Experience connecting systems and managing diverse data types.
- Version Control: Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.
Nice-to-Have Technical Skills:
- Agentic AI Solutions: Prior experience building autonomous AI agents.
- Conversational AI: Experience with chatbots or AI-powered summarization tools.
- LLM Frameworks: Familiarity with OpenAI or similar advanced LLM platforms.
- UI/Demo Tools: Experience with Streamlit, FastAPI, or Flask for creating user interfaces and demonstration tools.
Location & Work Environment:
- This is a Hybrid position based in Farmington Hills, MI.
- Important: A Face-to-Face interview is mandatory and must be conducted in Michigan.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $120,000 – $160,000 per year
