Role Overview
The AI Engineer will be a pivotal member of the technical team, focusing on the design, development, and deployment of sophisticated AI-driven solutions. This role is centered around the Microsoft ecosystem, specifically leveraging Copilot Studio and the Power Platform to create intelligent agents that drive business value. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of software engineering discipline and AI expertise, capable of navigating the complexities of enterprise-grade integrations and agentic orchestration.
Key Responsibilities
- Copilot Studio Development: Build and configure custom copilot topics, tools, and knowledge sources to meet specific business requirements. This includes designing conversational flows that are both intuitive and efficient.
- Automation and Integration: Implement robust agent flows using Power Automate, utilizing both standard and custom APIs. You will be responsible for integrating connectors for major enterprise systems such as Dynamics 365, SAP, and ServiceNow to ensure a unified data experience.
- Agentic Orchestration: Apply advanced orchestration patterns, including task decomposition, multi-step flows, and sophisticated fallback/error handling mechanisms to ensure high reliability in AI responses.
- ALM and Governance: Manage the Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) process by packaging copilots and flows into Solutions for seamless transition between development, testing, and production environments.
- CI/CD Implementation: Utilize Power Platform pipelines, Azure DevOps, or GitHub to maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment workflows.
- Security and Compliance: Enforce data residency requirements, Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies, and secure API authentication protocols to maintain the highest standards of enterprise security.
Technical Requirements and Skills
- Core Skills: Extensive experience in Copilot Studio authoring, multichannel deployment, and Power Automate flow design (including HTTP actions and timeout handling).
- Azure AI Integration: Proficiency in Azure AI Search, specifically in designing hybrid and vector retrieval pipelines for Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) scenarios.
- Data Management: Strong working knowledge of Dataverse and its role within the Power Platform ecosystem.
- Observability: Experience implementing monitoring and observability via Azure Application Insights and Azure Monitor.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional problem-solving abilities and the capacity to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Microsoft certifications in Power Platform (PL-series), Azure AI (AI-series), or specific Copilot Studio credentials.
- Exposure to Responsible AI principles and enterprise compliance frameworks.
- Familiarity with Agent Factory or similar operationalization frameworks for AI agents.
This position is a contract role operating on a C2C basis. Candidates must be able to work within the PST time zone and provide verified visa status upon application. We maintain a strict policy against fraudulent profiles and require high-level technical proficiency for this remote engagement.
