About the Role:
Delta System & Software Inc. is seeking an experienced AI/ML Architect to define the end-to-end AI/ML reference architecture. This role is crucial for establishing standards for data storage, access patterns, and lineage, ensuring a robust and scalable AI/ML platform. You will design for scale across multiple business units, considering varying data sensitivity, regulatory, and operational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define the end-to-end AI/ML reference architecture from data injection through model serving and monitoring.
- Establish standards for data storage, access patterns, and lineage, including separation of raw, curated, and feature-ready data.
- Assess and define the need for shared platform capabilities such as feature stores, model registries, AI/ML catalogues, and experiment tracking.
- Design for scale across multiple business units with differing data sensitivity, regulatory, and operational needs.
- Define standard development, validation, and production environments for AI/ML workloads.
- Design a repeatable ML delivery pipeline covering model development and training, validation, approval and promotion, deployment (batch and/or real time), monitoring, drift detection, and retraining.
- Establish CI/CD (and continuous training where appropriate) best practices for ML systems.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience in designing and implementing AI/ML architectures and platforms.
- Strong understanding of data engineering principles, including data storage, access patterns, and lineage.
- Experience with feature stores, model registries, AI/ML catalogues, and experiment tracking tools.
- Knowledge of CI/CD practices and their application to machine learning systems.
- Ability to design scalable solutions for diverse business units.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

This is an onsite contract position in Philadelphia, PA. The role requires local candidates only.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $150,000 – $200,000 per year (Estimated)
