Job Summary:
Quantum World Technologies is seeking a skilled AI/ML Engineer for a remote opportunity with one of their clients. This role focuses on developing and optimizing AI layers, RAG pipelines, and prompt orchestration. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software/data engineering with specific experience in LLM/GenAI applications, vector databases, and building production-ready RAG systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize AI layers, RAG pipelines, and prompt orchestration.
- Build and optimize MCP tool connectors, exposing system APIs as agent-callable tools.
- Contribute to agent orchestration, including intent routing (RAG vs MCP vs workflow).
- Apply security controls and authorization tokens.
- Develop end-to-end RAG pipelines, covering ingestion, chunking, embedding, Pinecone indexing, and retrieval.
- Implement retrieval strategies, including semantic search.
- Build MCP connectors that expose system APIs as agent-callable tools (both read and write operations).
- Work with the Engagement Lead to translate architectural decisions into production-grade, well-evaluated code.
- Ensure the AI layer and RAG pipelines are robust and efficient.
Technical Requirements:
- 5 to 8 years of software/data engineering experience.
- 2+ years of experience with LLM/GenAI applications.
- Strong programming skills, particularly in Python.
- Experience with LlamaIndex and/or LangChain in production RAG systems.
- Proficiency with vector databases; Pinecone is preferred.
- Experience with MCP / tool-calling patterns; FASTMCP experience is a significant plus.
- Understanding of chunking strategies, overlap settings, and metadata tagging.

This is a remote position. Only independent visa holders (US citizens, Green Card holders, and H1B visa holders) are eligible.
