Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced and technical AI Product Owner to lead transformative AI initiatives in a hybrid capacity based in New York. This long-term contract role requires a visionary leader who can bridge the gap between complex business requirements and cutting-edge artificial intelligence techniques. As the AI Product Owner, you will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of AI-driven products, from initial service design to large-scale production deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Strategy & Design: Conduct comprehensive service design sessions to deeply understand business requirements, existing processes, and data pain points. Identify high-impact opportunities for AI integration and map them to appropriate high-level AI techniques.
- Roadmap & Prototyping: Create detailed product roadmaps and value proposition estimations. Develop interactive prototypes and collaborate closely with UI/UX designers, engineers, and architects to ensure solution feasibility and user-centric design.
- Agile Leadership: Define epics, features, user stories, and granular tasks. Lead daily scrum stand-up calls, tracking development progress across frontend, backend, and AI engineering teams.
- Technical Oversight: Oversee the testing of products from both an AI model performance perspective (accuracy, bias, latency) and a functional integration perspective. Define and monitor KPIs to track post-production performance and ROI.
- Program Management: Manage project timelines, provide regular status reports, and navigate governance review and approval processes. Facilitate infrastructure setup and coordinate with external tech teams for API APIGEE approvals and deployment scheduling.
- Scaling & Communication: Define and execute rollout plans and communication strategies to scale products from initial pilot phases to full-scale enterprise implementation (1-10 scale).
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in product management or technical leadership.
- At least 5-6 years of direct experience leading AI/ML use cases and product development.
- Strong background in service design, system architecture, and data-driven decision-making.
- Proven ability to manage complex technical programs involving multiple stakeholders and infrastructure dependencies.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical AI concepts for business executives.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $175,000 – $245,000 per year (Estimated)
