Position Summary

We are looking for a dedicated Anaplan Model Builder/Developer to join our Finance Technology team. This role is pivotal in driving our financial planning and analysis (FP&A) capabilities forward. You will be the primary architect for our Anaplan environment, ensuring that our models are not only functional but optimized for high-level strategic decision-making. This position is based in Midtown Manhattan and operates on a hybrid schedule, requiring a blend of technical expertise and financial acumen.

Core Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with finance and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into sophisticated Anaplan models.
  • Design, build, and maintain complex Anaplan applications, focusing on data models, modules, and user-friendly dashboards.
  • Ensure all new models and enhancements are designed in an integrated, optimal manner following Anaplan Best Practices (The Anaplan Way).
  • Optimize existing models to improve performance, calculation speed, and user experience.
  • Automate data integration processes between Anaplan and other enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, etc.).
  • Perform rigorous testing and debugging to ensure the accuracy of financial data and model logic.
  • Provide high-tier technical support and troubleshooting for end-users across the organization.
  • Stay abreast of new Anaplan features and releases, proactively suggesting ways to leverage new functionality.
  • Document all technical specifications, model maps, and process flows to ensure long-term maintainability.
  • Lead training sessions for end-users to increase platform adoption and self-service capabilities.

Required Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience with the Anaplan platform.
  • Completion of at least 3 full-lifecycle implementations focusing on incentive compensation, revenue modeling, or FP&A.
  • Official Anaplan Model Builder certifications are mandatory.
  • Strong background in Finance, specifically in budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting.
  • Expertise in complex formula writing and multi-dimensional modeling.
  • Ability to manage stakeholders and challenge requirements to ensure the most efficient solution is built.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a focus on solving complex business problems through technology.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $135,000 – $185,000 per year (Estimated)
