Job Overview:
We are urgently hiring an experienced Android Developer for a 6-12 month contract position. This role involves working on building production-level software systems with a focus on Android app development and performance optimization. The position follows a hybrid model, requiring 3 days onsite per week in Issaquah, WA. No H1B sponsorship is available for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain production-level Android applications using Java and Kotlin.
- Lead development efforts, including code reviews and performance optimization of the Android app.
- Implement features using the Android SDK and leverage Android Jetpack Compose.
- Work with mobile networking concepts and tools, ensuring efficient data transfer and communication.
- Apply object-oriented programming principles to design and build robust applications.
- Integrate with cloud services such as Firebase or AWS.
- Develop and consume RESTful services for backend communication.
- Utilize Adobe Tag Manager for analytics and tracking (a big plus).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Troubleshoot and debug application issues to ensure a smooth user experience.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 8-10 years of experience in building production-level software systems.
- Expert knowledge in Android app development and application performance engineering.
- Proven experience as a Developer Lead, including code review and optimization.
- Expert understanding of the Android SDK.
- Expert understanding of Android Jetpack Compose.
- Solid understanding of mobile networking concepts and tools.
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented concepts.
- Experience using cloud services (Firebase or AWS).
- Working knowledge of RESTful services.
- Experience/Knowledge of working Adobe Tag Manager is a significant advantage.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
