Role Overview
We are seeking a high-level Ansible for RHEL Architect to join our US Consulting West team. This is a high-impact, full-time contract engagement focused on the West Coast region. This project involves a deep dive into OpenShift Virtualization (OCP Virt), architecting automation solutions that bridge traditional virtual machine workloads with modern container-native environments. You will be responsible for architecting enterprise-scale Ansible automation workflows specifically tailored for Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and OpenShift Virtualization.
Key Responsibilities
- Architectural Leadership: Design and lead the implementation of Ansible automation frameworks for RHEL within an OpenShift environment.
- OCP Virt Integration: Act as the subject matter expert for OpenShift Virtualization (OCP Virt), managing the lifecycle of VMs alongside containers on a unified platform.
- Automated Provisioning: Develop robust playbooks and roles for VM migration, configuration management, and Day-2 operations.
- Strategic Advisory: Provide technical guidance to clients on best practices for scaling automation and optimizing hardware resources via KubeVirt-based technologies.
- Infrastructure as Code: Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure automation using GitOps principles.
- Performance Tuning: Optimize RHEL performance within virtualized environments and ensure seamless integration with underlying hardware.
- Security Compliance: Ensure all automation workflows adhere to enterprise security standards and regulatory requirements.
Technical Requirements
- Advanced Ansible Automation: Extensive experience architecting AAP (Ansible Automation Platform) for large-scale enterprise environments.
- Deep OCP Virt Knowledge: Hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization, including VM templates, live migration, and persistent storage integration.
- RHEL Mastery: Expert-level understanding of Red Hat Enterprise Linux administration and system architecture.
- Cloud-Native Networking: Familiarity with OVN-Kubernetes and connecting virtualized workloads to containerized services.
- Experience Level: Minimum of 15+ years in IT infrastructure, with a significant focus on automation and virtualization.
- Containerization: Strong understanding of Kubernetes and OpenShift container platform architecture.
- Storage Solutions: Experience with persistent storage for containers and VMs, including CSI drivers and software-defined storage.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $180,000 – $240,000 per year (Estimated)
