Role Overview: Appian BPM Expert
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Appian BPM Expert to join our dynamic technical team in McLean, VA. This onsite position is critical for designing, developing, and deploying sophisticated Business Process Management (BPM) solutions that drive operational efficiency and digital transformation. As a senior-level expert, you will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of Appian applications, from initial requirement analysis to final deployment and ongoing optimization.
Key Responsibilities and Technical Duties
- Design and implement complex BPM solutions using the Appian platform, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards.
- Analyze intricate business requirements and translate them into robust process models, automated workflows, and user-centric interfaces.
- Build and optimize Appian applications, including records, reports, and complex integrations with external systems.
- Lead process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing organizational efficiency and reducing operational costs through automation.
- Collaborate closely with technical leads, architects, and cross-functional developers to deliver high-quality BPO solutions.
- Integrate Appian with various external systems, including APIs, databases, and enterprise-level applications like Snowflake and Dremio.
- Ensure best practices in Appian design, focusing on performance optimization, scalability, and rigorous security protocols.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex application and process issues in a timely manner.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to junior team members to foster a culture of technical excellence.
- Document technical designs, workflow logic, and overall solution architecture for future reference and maintenance.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Extensive expertise in Appian setup, configuration, design, and enterprise development.
- Proven experience in delivering BPM solutions that adopt SOA architectures, patterns, and methodologies.
- Strong background in designing and implementing enterprise integrations with technologies such as Active Directory, Web APIs, Ping, and Snowflake.
- Experience in Java-based plug-ins development for the Appian platform.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to make independent judgments on system enhancements and roadblocks.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and technical teams.
Special Requirements
Onsite requirement in McLean, VA; requires expertise in Java-based plug-ins development and enterprise integrations (Snowflake, Dremio).
Compensation & Location
Salary: $145,000 – $195,000 per year (Estimated)
