Job Description: Application Database Administrator – Oracle Enterprise Applications

We are looking for an experienced Application Database Administrator specializing in Oracle Enterprise Applications for an onsite role in Dallas, TX, working for our end client, Oncor. This position requires a strong understanding of Oracle database technologies and enterprise application support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and maintain Oracle databases, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
  • Manage and support Oracle Enterprise Applications, including CC&B, Oracle Utilities Application Framework, Oracle SOA, and Oracle BI Publisher.
  • Perform database installations, configurations, upgrades, and patching.
  • Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement tuning strategies.
  • Develop and maintain database backup and recovery procedures.
  • Troubleshoot database-related issues and provide timely resolution.
  • Collaborate with application development teams to ensure optimal database performance for applications.
  • Implement and manage database security policies.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Extensive experience as an Application Database Administrator.
  • Strong expertise in Oracle 12c and later versions.
  • In-depth knowledge of CC&B core modules.
  • Proficiency with Oracle Utilities Application Framework (UAF).
  • Experience with Oracle SOA and Oracle BI Publisher.
  • Familiarity with database performance tuning and optimization techniques.
  • Experience with database security best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

  • This is an onsite role in Dallas, TX.
  • The end client for this position is Oncor.
  • Candidates with 15+ years of experience are preferred.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $120,000 – $160,000 per year (Estimated)
