Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced AS400 Developer with Synon expertise to join our team. This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days a week onsite in Dallas, Texas. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AS/400 application development, RPG, RPGLE, CL, and Synon2/E. We are looking for local candidates for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test, and maintain AS400 applications using RPG, RPGLE, CL, and Synon2/E.
  • Utilize Synon2/E (also known as COOL 2/E) for application development.
  • Write and optimize IBMi SQL queries.
  • Lead and contribute to medium to large scope AS400 projects.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues within the AS400 environment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices in software development and SDLC.
  • Utilize IBM X-analysis, ALDON, and Hawkeye for development and analysis.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience with a deep understanding of AS/400 application development.
  • At least 5 years of application development experience in RPG, RPGLE, and CL.
  • At least 5 years of application development experience in Synon2/E (COOL 2/E).
  • 5+ years of experience with IBMi SQL.
  • 5+ years of recent experience in a leadership role within AS400 development.
  • Proficiency in IBM X-analysis, ALDON, and Hawkeye.
  • Proven track record of successfully completing several medium to large scope projects.
  • Proficiency in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Adept at problem determination and resolution through research and fact-finding.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with RxClaim or other PBM Adjudication systems is highly preferred.

Rate:

$55/hr
