Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Atlassian Migration Specialist with extensive experience in migrating Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and Jira Service Management from on-premise Server/Data Center environments to Atlassian Cloud. This role is crucial for planning and executing end-to-end migrations, managing the transition of applications and plug-ins, optimizing cloud configurations, and ensuring the integrity and security of data throughout the migration process.
The specialist will collaborate closely with various cross-functional teams to assess current environments, address specific customizations, conduct thorough test migrations, troubleshoot any arising issues, and provide comprehensive post-migration support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute end-to-end migrations of Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, JSM) to Atlassian Cloud.
- Manage the migration and transition of existing apps and plug-ins.
- Optimize Atlassian Cloud environments for performance, security, and usability.
- Ensure data integrity and security throughout the migration lifecycle.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and address customizations.
- Conduct test migrations and troubleshoot issues encountered during the process.
- Provide post-migration support and training to end-users.
- Integrate Atlassian Cloud with identity and access management solutions, including Single Sign-On (SSO) and user provisioning.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to Atlassian tools and cloud environments.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven hands-on experience migrating Atlassian tools to the Atlassian Cloud platform.
- Strong knowledge of Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and Jira Service Management configurations and administration.
- Experience with Single Sign-On (SSO), identity integrations, and user provisioning workflows.
- Proficiency with migration tools and methodologies for handling complex setups.
- Solid understanding of cloud security, compliance, and performance best practices.
- Scripting and automation skills (Python, Java, or JavaScript preferred).
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent project coordination and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Atlassian certifications (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
- Experience with large-scale enterprise migrations.
- Knowledge of other cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Familiarity with synchronization tools for data management.
Special Requirements
H1B, USC, L2 Only. 5 days onsite. Contract/c2c.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $50 – $70 per year (Estimated)
