Job Description: Audio/Video Technician

  • Checking all conference rooms on a regular basis
  • Test all aspects of rooms equipment
  • Hardware power status confirmation
  • Battery levels on items like remotes
  • Confirm correct functionality of all audio and video features
  • Troubleshooting technical issues
  • Work with vendors as needed to resolve issues
  • Ensure rooms are in good looking order
  • Work with facilities to remedy any physical needs of the space
  • Utilize monitoring solutions to quickly identify and respond to issues
  • Assist users with immediate room issues or needs
  • Troubleshoot active problems in person
  • Work with vendors as needed to resolve issues
  • AV Training
  • Hold regular training sessions with the site
  • Usage of the equipment
  • Best practices
  • General AV support questions
  • Track and respond to ServiceNow work requests
  • Work with the greater AV group on implementing changes to the AV environment at your local site
  • Point person for all AV needs your site has
  • Special Projects: work with other team members or manager on AV oriented projects

This role involves ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of audio and video systems within conference rooms. Responsibilities include regular testing, troubleshooting, and ensuring all equipment is functioning correctly. The technician will also be responsible for training users on equipment usage and best practices, as well as managing service requests and collaborating with facilities and vendors to resolve any issues. The role requires a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical problems, maintaining the aesthetic condition of the rooms, and contributing to AV-related projects.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing daily checks on conference room equipment.
  • Diagnosing and resolving audio and video technical issues.
  • Coordinating with external vendors for repairs and maintenance.
  • Ensuring the physical appearance and functionality of AV setups.
  • Providing training and support to end-users on AV systems.
  • Managing work orders and service requests through platforms like ServiceNow.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including facilities and IT.
  • Participating in special projects related to AV system upgrades and implementations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of AV hardware and software, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical users. Experience in a corporate AV support environment is highly desirable.


Compensation & Location

Salary: $40,000 – $60,000 per year (Estimated)

Location: Marlborough, MA
