Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Audio/Visual (AV) Engineer to design, implement, and support our robust and resilient AV infrastructure. Technology is a key component of our core business, and our AV needs are evolving as we grow. In this role, you will be responsible for all audio/visual systems, collaboration platforms, and teleconferencing services, including complex event spaces, standard meeting rooms, live event support, and digital signage/IPTV. You should be passionate about the audio/visual technology space and eager to help solve business issues by researching, testing, and implementing these technologies.
The scope of this role is broad and will rely on you to act as a subject matter expert for AV systems, from maintaining and supporting our existing technologies to developing design standards for new and expanding spaces. You’ll be expected to provide exceptional technical support, whether during a field installation or while troubleshooting directly with end users. Our AV Engineers also coordinate closely with our Technology and Infrastructure teams during expansion projects to ensure the infrastructure needs of each project are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and support robust and resilient AV infrastructure.
- Manage all audio/visual systems, collaboration platforms, and teleconferencing services.
- Oversee complex event spaces, standard meeting rooms, live event support, and digital signage/IPTV.
- Act as a subject matter expert for AV systems, maintaining and supporting existing technologies.
- Develop design standards for new and expanding AV spaces.
- Provide exceptional technical support during field installations and troubleshooting.
- Coordinate with Technology and Infrastructure teams during expansion projects.
- Architect globally scalable, fault-tolerant solutions and contribute to technical strategy.
- Manage vendor relationships and hold them accountable to performance standards on large-scale projects.
- Provide technical production and hands-on delivery for company events in a hybrid environment.
- Support AV collaboration platforms such as Zoom, Webex, Teams, etc.
- Collaborate with architects on acoustic treatments and space design.
Technical Skills Required
- Enterprise-scale system design, deployment, and management of standard meeting rooms and large event spaces.
- Expertise in control systems, DSPs, AVoIP, audio over IP, digital signage/IPTV.
- Experience with Cisco VC solutions.
- Networking fundamentals (VLANs, subnetting, basic routing, firewalls).
- Experience with AV collaboration platforms (Zoom, Webex, Teams).
- Familiarity with GC-lead build projects and design-build projects.
- AutoCAD/Revit or programming experience is a plus.
Experience Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in a similar AV Engineering role.
- Proven ability to multitask and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional AV engineering skills.
- Experience with technical production and hands-on delivery of company events.
- Experience supporting AV collaboration platforms.
- Experience with networking fundamentals.
- Experience managing vendor relationships.
Education Requirements
Not specified, but equivalent experience is valued.
Additional Information
This is a contract-to-hire position located in NYC. Candidates must be local to NYC and able to convert to full-time after 6 months with no restrictions. Interviews will include Skype and F2F. Trading floor experience is highly preferred, with proprietary trading experience being a plus.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $90,000 – $130,000 per year (Estimated)
