Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team in New York City. This is a senior-level leadership position requiring over a decade of expertise in automation engineering, including QA Automation, Selenium, and platform orchestration. The successful candidate will not only drive technical excellence but also lead a team of engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions in a fast-paced environment. This role is critical for defining the future of our automation frameworks and ensuring our CI/CD pipelines are robust, scalable, and efficient.
Key Responsibilities
- Automation Engineering & Solution Delivery: Lead the design and implementation of comprehensive end-to-end automation solutions covering UI, API, RPA, and workflow orchestration. You will be responsible for enforcing automation standards and developing reusable frameworks that improve code quality and delivery speed.
- Team Leadership & Mentorship: Manage and mentor a team of automation engineers. This includes owning the hiring process, onboarding new talent, performance management, and career coaching. You will establish a culture of engineering excellence and continuous improvement.
- Data Consolidation & Reporting: A core part of this role involves consolidating data from various sources like test runs, defect systems, and release tools into a single, actionable reporting view. You will create management dashboards to track KPIs such as coverage, pass/fail trends, and defect leakage.
- Stakeholder Management: Partner with business leaders, QA, DevOps, and platform teams to define roadmaps and success metrics. You must be able to translate complex technical metrics into business decisions for senior leadership.
- CI/CD Integration: Drive the integration of automation into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring scheduled runs, automated evidence collection, and real-time alerting are functioning optimally.
Technical Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in Automation Engineering or Test Engineering.
- 2+ years of formal people management or strong delivery lead experience.
- Expertise in building frameworks using Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Advanced proficiency with UI Automation tools like Selenium and Playwright.
- Strong API Automation experience using RestAssured or Postman.
- In-depth knowledge of SDLC, Agile methodologies, Git, and Jira/ADO.
- Proven ability to define KPIs and create executive-level dashboards.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $165,000 – $215,000 per year (Estimated)
