Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Automation QA Engineer to join our dynamic team in Alpharetta, GA. This position is specifically designed for professionals who possess a deep understanding of the Trading and Finance domains. As a critical member of our quality assurance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity, reliability, and performance of complex financial systems. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of experience in software testing, with a strong emphasis on automation frameworks and functional testing within high-stakes financial environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test scripts using industry-standard tools such as Selenium, TestNG, and JUnit.
- Execute comprehensive functional testing on trading platforms, order management systems, and risk management applications.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers and product managers, to understand system requirements and define effective test strategies.
- Perform backend data validation and manipulation using SQL, with a specific focus on DB2 databases.
- Monitor and analyze system behavior using Kafka message streams to validate real-time data flow and event-driven architectures.
- Identify, document, and track software defects through their entire lifecycle, ensuring timely resolution and high-quality releases.
- Conduct regression, integration, and end-to-end testing to maintain system stability across various environments.
- Optimize test automation frameworks to improve coverage and efficiency within CI/CD pipelines.
- Generate detailed test reports and metrics to provide stakeholders with insights into system quality and stability.
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in the trading and financial sectors, including market data protocols and transaction processes.
Required Technical Skills
- Proven experience in Automation Testing with a focus on functional validation.
- Strong scripting proficiency in Java or Python.
- Hands-on experience with API testing using tools like REST Assured.
- Solid understanding of SQL and experience with DB2 for data integrity checks.
- Experience working with Kafka for messaging and event streaming validation.
- Familiarity with trading workflows, financial transactions, and order management systems.
- Excellent analytical skills and a meticulous attention to detail.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter.
- Familiarity with Financial Market Data protocols and FIX messaging.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and CI/CD pipeline integration.
- Experience with Data Warehouse validation and reconciliation processes.
Interview Protocol and Environment
This role is based in Alpharetta, GA, and requires a face-to-face interview on Thursday, 2/26. Candidates must adhere to strict interview guidelines: the use of headphones, AirPods, or any external earpieces is strictly prohibited. All candidates must use their laptop’s built-in microphone for the duration of the interview. Compensation & Location
Salary: $140,000 – $185,000 per year (Estimated)
