Role Overview
Relanto is seeking a highly skilled and motivated AWS Cloud Engineer to join our growing infrastructure and cloud services team. This role is critical for driving our cloud transformation initiatives and ensuring the scalability, reliability, and security of our AWS environments. As an AWS Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing complex cloud infrastructures using cutting-edge technologies. This position is a hybrid role based in San Francisco, CA, Dallas, TX, or Austin, TX, and is specifically open to local candidates in these regions. The initial contract duration is 6+ months with a strong possibility of extension based on performance and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deploy scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems on AWS using core services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and VPC.
- Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, with a specific focus on Reverse Terraform and Terraform Cloud to maintain state and consistency across environments.
- Automate the provisioning and configuration of cloud resources to reduce manual intervention and improve deployment speed.
- Develop and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or CircleCI to support seamless application delivery.
- Optimize cloud infrastructure for cost, performance, and security, ensuring compliance with industry best practices and organizational standards.
- Collaborate with software development teams to integrate cloud-native services and improve the overall developer experience.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues, providing root cause analysis and implementing long-term solutions.
- Manage Linux/Unix-based systems, ensuring high performance and security through regular patching and configuration management.
- Utilize scripting languages such as Python or Bash to automate repetitive tasks and enhance operational efficiency.
Technical Requirements
- Extensive hands-on experience with AWS Cloud services and architecture.
- Deep expertise in Terraform, including advanced features like Terraform Cloud and the ability to perform reverse engineering of existing infrastructure into Terraform code.
- Strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and configuration management tools.
- Solid understanding of Linux/Unix system administration and networking concepts.
- Proven experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for cloud-based applications.
- Advanced scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar languages for automation and tool development.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $155,000 – $210,000 per year (Estimated)
