Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced AWS Migration Specialist to join our team in Raleigh, NC. This is a contract role focused on migrating data from on-premises environments to the cloud, with a strong emphasis on AWS services. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in cloud migration, database performance tuning, and version control deployment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and contribute to the migration of data and applications from on-premises infrastructure to AWS cloud environments.
- Ensure adherence to architectural principles, coding standards, and best practices throughout the migration process.
- Conduct thorough code reviews and provide mentorship to junior team members.
- Contribute to both front-end interfaces and back-end services as required.
- Leverage technological expertise to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues that arise during migration.
- Optimize database performance, particularly with AWS Aurora DB and MySQL.
- Implement and manage version control systems for deployment pipelines.
Must-Have Technical/Functional Skills:
- Proven experience in data migration from On-premises to Cloud environments.
- Good understanding of version control deployment strategies.
- Experience in database performance tuning.
- Strong proficiency in AWS Aurora DB.
- Familiarity with MySQL databases.
