About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced AWS Python Solution Architect to join our team. This role is pivotal in designing, building, and supporting cloud-native solutions on AWS, with a strong emphasis on Python-based services, system design, and operational excellence. You will blend hands-on development, solution architecture, and production support, collaborating closely with engineering, operations, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, reliable, and secure systems. This position requires a deep understanding of AWS services, Python development, and best practices in cloud engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Solution Design & Architecture: Design end-to-end technical solutions for distributed, cloud-native applications on AWS. Translate business and operational requirements into clear technical designs, system flows, and architectural decisions. Define integration patterns, data flows, error handling, and resiliency strategies. Evaluate trade-offs between performance, scalability, cost, and maintainability when designing solutions.
- AWS Cloud Engineering: Build and maintain services using AWS native components such as compute, storage, messaging, and monitoring services. Design systems that are highly available, fault-tolerant, and scalable. Implement environment configuration, feature controls, and deployment readiness in cloud environments. Partner with infrastructure and security teams to ensure cloud best practices and compliance.
- Python Development: Develop and maintain Python-based backend services, utilities, and automation scripts. Write clean, maintainable, and testable Python code following industry best practices. Build APIs, background processes, and data processing logic using Python. Perform code reviews and contribute to coding standards and quality improvements.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, operations, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful delivery of cloud solutions.
- Operational Excellence: Contribute to the ongoing operational health and performance of deployed systems, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident response.
Key Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience as a Solution Architect with a focus on AWS and Python.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing cloud-native solutions on AWS.
- Proficiency in Python development, including building backend services, APIs, and automation scripts.
- Deep understanding of AWS services (compute, storage, messaging, monitoring, etc.).
- Experience with system design, distributed systems, and microservices architecture.
- Knowledge of best practices in cloud engineering, including high availability, fault tolerance, scalability, and security.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical designs and architectural decisions.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience required: 10+ years.
Desirable Skills
- Experience as a Business Analyst with Enterprise Data Management (EDM) is a plus.
- Familiarity with other Python web frameworks.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Understanding of security best practices in AWS environments.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $65 – $80 per year
