Role Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Solution Architect to join our team in Minneapolis, MN. This onsite role requires a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, application development, and modern DevOps practices. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, secure, and highly available cloud solutions that meet the evolving needs of our enterprise clients. You will work closely with development teams to ensure that applications are optimized for the cloud and leverage the full suite of AWS services.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deploy enterprise-grade AWS architectures including VPC, EC2, S3, RDS, and Lambda.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation to automate environment provisioning.
- Collaborate with software engineering teams to build and optimize Java Springboot microservices.
- Implement robust CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery and ensure high-quality releases.
- Manage containerized applications using Docker and orchestration platforms like ECS or EKS.
- Design and implement secure networking solutions, including subnets, security groups, and NACLs.
- Ensure data security and compliance by managing IAM policies, KMS, and Secrets Manager.
- Monitor system performance and health using CloudWatch and CloudTrail, providing proactive troubleshooting and resolution.
- Lead the design of multi-account setups and landing zones to support complex organizational structures.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and stakeholders.
Technical Skills & Requirements
- Extensive hands-on experience with Java Springboot and Microservices architecture.
- Functional knowledge of application orchestration is a must-have requirement.
- Knowledge of Extraction Transformation and Loading (ETL) processes.
- Expertise in core AWS services: EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Route 53, and ALB/NLB.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
- Strong experience with networking concepts: VPC design, subnets, and security groups.
- Deep understanding of security best practices, including IAM policies and encryption.
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
- AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect, SysOps, or DevOps Engineer) are highly preferred.
Professional Qualifications
- Proven track record of delivering complex cloud migration or greenfield projects.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $90 – $130 per year (Estimated)
