Overview of the Role

We are actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Axiom (Addenza) UAT Analyst with strong JIRA proficiency to join our client’s dynamic team in New York City. This is a critical hybrid contract position, spanning a minimum of six months, designed to support the second phase of a significant Axiom Implementation project. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of automated regulatory reports submitted to the Federal Reserve. This involves rigorous functional component testing across a suite of complex financial reports, identifying and documenting any development issues, bugs, or necessary changes well in advance of formal User Acceptance Testing. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a high-impact project within the financial technology sector, working with critical regulatory reporting frameworks.

Key Responsibilities and Project Focus

The primary objective of this role is to onboard contractors who can meticulously perform functional component testing for five key regulatory reports slated for automation. These reports are integral to the client’s compliance obligations and include:

  • FRY9C: A comprehensive call report submitted quarterly to the Federal Reserve for the IHC (Intermediate Holding Company).
  • FFIEC 002: Another critical call report filed quarterly with the Federal Reserve for the NY Branch.
  • FFIEC 031: A significant call report submitted quarterly to the Federal Reserve for the US Bank.

These three reports are notably large and encompass numerous schedules that draw information from both Financials (Balance Sheet and Income Statement) and various subledgers, aligning with specific reporting schemas.Additionally, two other vital reports are within the scope of this Axiom Phase delivery:

  • FRY15: The Systemic Risk Report, a critical document with multiple schedules filed quarterly to the Federal Reserve.
  • FFIEC 009: The Country Exposure Report, also a crucial report with multiple schedules filed quarterly to the Federal Reserve.

The resources brought on board will be expected to perform detailed functional component testing for these reports. This testing is specifically aimed at proactively identifying any report development issues, potential bugs, or required changes before the commencement of the formal UAT phase. This proactive approach is crucial for maintaining data integrity and regulatory compliance.

Core Areas of Work

The work will be multifaceted, focusing on several key areas to ensure robust testing and quality assurance:

  • Test Case Development and Documentation: Creating and meticulously documenting test cases specific to each report schedule under review, ensuring comprehensive coverage.
  • Report Schedule Development Review: Thoroughly reviewing report schedule development for accuracy and completeness, paying close attention to detail.
  • Line-Level (MDRM) Data Review: Conducting in-depth data review at the line level (MDRM) to confirm completeness, identify any gaps, and pinpoint data quality issues.
  • System Functionality Testing: Testing various system functionalities, including drill-through capabilities, report generation processes, and data loading abilities, to ensure seamless operation.
  • Historical Report Versioning and Accessibility Checks: Verifying the integrity of historical report versions and ensuring their accessibility.
  • Workflow Process Review and Testing: Evaluating and testing the end-to-end workflow processes associated with report generation and submission.
  • Version Saving and Locking Functionality: Testing the functionality related to saving and locking report versions to prevent unauthorized changes.
  • Submission Capabilities Review: Assessing the capabilities of the system for report submission to regulatory bodies.
  • Maker-Checker Review: Implementing and testing maker-checker controls to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Cross-Checks and Inter-Series Validation: Performing rigorous cross-checks and inter-series validation to maintain data consistency and accuracy across reports.
  • Issue Escalation and Remediation: Effectively escalating identified issues and actively participating in working groups dedicated to remediating and closing these issues.
  • Results Reporting: Compiling and presenting clear, concise reports on testing results and findings.

Required Skill Sets

To excel in this role, candidates must possess a robust set of skills and experiences:

  • Axiom (Addenza) System Expertise: In-depth, hands-on experience with the Axiom (Addenza) system is paramount.
  • JIRA Proficiency: Demonstrated experience with JIRA, including raising new issues, updating existing ones, and effectively closing them.
  • Test Script and Test Case Development: Proven ability in developing and updating comprehensive test scripts and test cases.
  • Product Knowledge: Strong understanding of financial products and their applicability to regulatory reporting.
  • Excel Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and manipulation.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $54 – $65 per year
