Job Description:

This is a remote position for an Azure Cloud Data Architect. The role involves designing, implementing, and managing data solutions on the Azure cloud platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data warehousing, data lakes, ETL processes, and big data technologies within the Azure ecosystem.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable and robust data architectures on Microsoft Azure.
  • Develop and manage data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, or similar tools.
  • Implement data warehousing and data lake solutions using Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage, etc.
  • Ensure data quality, security, and compliance across all data solutions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Optimize data storage and processing for performance and cost-efficiency.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Azure data services and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Data Architect or Senior Data Engineer with a focus on Azure.
  • Strong expertise in Azure data services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL Database, Azure Cosmos DB, and Azure Data Lake Storage.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with big data technologies and distributed systems.
  • Understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data warehousing concepts.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Experience with other cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) is a plus.
  • Relevant Azure certifications are highly desirable.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $110,000 – $150,000 per year (Estimated)
