Role Overview: Azure Cloud Engineer with Java background
We are seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer with extensive experience in application development and cloud deployment, specifically within Microsoft Azure environments. This role is critical for building and deploying robust backend services, leveraging modern cloud-native tools, and fostering collaboration between business and technical teams to deliver highly scalable and efficient solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Java-based development, a deep understanding of cloud platforms, and expertise in API design. Excellent communication skills are essential for interacting with cross-functional teams and presenting technical solutions effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications, including sophisticated batch processing and Spring Boot services.
- Deploy and manage applications seamlessly within Microsoft Azure cloud environments.
- Build and maintain secure, scalable, and high-performance APIs, ensuring strict adherence to API design standards and industry best practices.
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, external partners, and internal engineering groups to accurately gather requirements and present well-defined technical solutions.
- Actively participate in architecture discussions, technical reviews, and detailed solution demonstrations.
- Work with relational databases to design efficient data models and robust database structures.
- Monitor and troubleshoot cloud applications effectively using advanced monitoring and logging tools.
- Continuously learn and adopt new technologies to support evolving business requirements and project needs.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Strong development experience using Java with Spring Boot for building backend services and batch applications.
- Hands-on experience deploying and managing applications in Microsoft Azure.
- Solid understanding of API design, development standards, and integration best practices.
- Experience with relational database modeling and database design concepts.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to interact effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and external partners.
- Ability to adapt quickly and learn new technologies as needed to support project requirements.
Azure Technologies:
- Experience working with several of the following Azure services: Azure Function Apps, App Services, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Key Vault, Application Insights, Azure Monitor.
Database Technologies:
- SQL Server, Azure Cosmos DB.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in banking or financial services environments, especially related to credit cards or loan systems.
- Exposure to AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Microsoft Copilot.
- Experience with cloud-native architectures and containerized deployments.
