Role Summary
Fixity Technologies is looking for an experienced Azure Cloud Solution Architect to join our team in a 100% remote capacity. This strategic role focuses on designing and overseeing the delivery of infrastructure solutions specifically tailored for Public Sector clients. You will be responsible for bridging the gap between enterprise architecture standards and executable, high-quality designs. This position requires a blend of high-level strategic thinking and hands-on technical expertise in Azure and hybrid cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical lead for infrastructure solutions, articulating architecture decisions, risks, and tradeoffs to executives and Public Sector stakeholders.
- Design Azure-centric, hybrid, and on-premises infrastructure solutions that support critical government and public sector initiatives.
- Ensure all designs strictly adhere to enterprise infrastructure standards, security protocols, and compliance requirements (e.g., FedRAMP, HIPAA).
- Lead and mobilize cross-functional technical teams, providing architectural guidance and clarity throughout the project lifecycle.
- Facilitate architecture reviews, technical workshops, and solution discussions to drive consensus among stakeholders.
- Translate complex business and program requirements into actionable implementation plans and standards-based documentation.
- Provide architectural oversight during the buildout phase to ensure alignment with approved designs.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks, dependencies, and constraints early in the delivery process.
- Collaborate with engineering, security, networking, and platform teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Stay current on evolving Azure capabilities and hybrid infrastructure patterns to provide cutting-edge solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Infrastructure Architect or Solutions Architect with a focus on cloud technologies.
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure, including the design of compute, networking, storage, and security services.
- Solid foundational knowledge of on-premises infrastructure and hybrid cloud integration patterns.
- Demonstrated ability to design solutions within formal governance models and project delivery frameworks (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence diverse audiences.
- Highly organized and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with Public Sector clients (Government, Healthcare, Education).
- Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
- Familiarity with architecture governance and design review processes.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $175,000 – $235,000 per year (Estimated)
