Job Description:
This is a hands-on Software Engineering role requiring significant coding expertise. The ideal candidate will possess strong Scala & Spark programming skills, with a focus on debugging and optimization. Experience in building data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF) and/or Azure Synapse Analytics is essential. Proficiency in SQL, including writing complex queries and stored procedures, is required. The role also demands hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (OneLake, Semantic Model) and Delta Lake. Additionally, experience with Power BI for dataset creation, modeling, and reporting is necessary. A strong understanding of the Azure / Microsoft ecosystem is a must.

- Duration: Long Term Contract
- Timezone Requirement: Must work in EST timezone
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain robust data pipelines using Azure services.
- Write efficient and optimized Scala and Spark code for data processing.
- Design, implement, and manage data solutions using ADF and Synapse.
- Utilize strong SQL skills for data manipulation and analysis.
- Implement and manage data solutions within Microsoft Fabric, including OneLake and Semantic Models.
- Work with Delta Lake for efficient data storage and management.
- Develop and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deliver data solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data pipelines and infrastructure.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and security.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Azure data technologies and best practices.
Required Skills:
- Strong programming experience in Scala and Spark (debugging, optimization).
- Experience building data pipelines with ADF and/or Synapse.
- Proficient in SQL (queries, stored procedures).
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (OneLake, Semantic Model) and Delta Lake.
- Power BI experience for datasets, models, and reporting.
- Strong understanding of the Azure / Microsoft ecosystem.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
