Job Summary:
Siri InfoSolutions Inc. is seeking an experienced Azure Databricks Architect for a long-term remote position. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Azure cloud services to design, implement, and optimize scalable data solutions. This role involves leading the architecture and deployment of Databricks-based data platforms to enable advanced analytics and data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and architect end-to-end data solutions using Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Synapse Analytics, and other Azure services.
- Lead the development and deployment of scalable big data pipelines using Apache Spark on Databricks.
- Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Implement best practices for data governance, security, and compliance.
- Optimize cluster configurations and Spark jobs for performance and cost-efficiency.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the data engineering team.
- Stay updated with the latest Azure and Databricks features and advancements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex data ingestion, transformation, and processing issues.
- Develop comprehensive documentation, architecture diagrams, and technical specifications.
- Assist in evaluating and integrating third-party tools and technologies to enhance the data platform.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience with Azure Databricks and Apache Spark.
- In-depth knowledge of Azure cloud services, including Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, and Azure SQL Database.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Scala, or SQL.
- Experience with data lake design, ETL/ELT processes, and data pipeline orchestration.
- Strong understanding of cloud security principles, data governance, and compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, ARM templates) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and prioritization skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
