Role Overview: Azure DevOps Engineer

The Azure DevOps Engineer position is a high-impact technical role designed for a professional who excels at the intersection of software development and IT operations. As we move into 2026, the complexity of cloud-native environments requires a specialist who can not only manage infrastructure but also drive the automation and efficiency of the entire software delivery lifecycle. This role is based in either Piscataway, New Jersey, or Erie, Pennsylvania, and requires a Day 1 onsite presence, reflecting the collaborative and hands-on nature of our engineering culture. The successful candidate will be responsible for architecting and maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines that support our global application suite. With a minimum of 6 years of experience in DevOps or systems engineering, you will bring a deep understanding of cloud platforms, specifically Azure, while also possessing the versatility to work within AWS and GCP environments as part of our multi-cloud strategy. Your expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform and Ansible will be critical in ensuring that our environments are scalable, reproducible, and secure. We are looking for a visionary who can leverage containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes to modernize our legacy systems and optimize our microservices architecture. Scripting proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell is essential, as you will be tasked with automating repetitive tasks and building custom tools to enhance our operational capabilities. Beyond technical skills, this role demands a strong grasp of networking principles, cloud security protocols, and system administration. You will work closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile and Scrum environment, ensuring that technical solutions are aligned with business objectives and delivered with the highest quality. Key Responsibilities and Technical Requirements

  • Design, implement, and manage automated CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, and Azure DevOps Services.
  • Provision and manage cloud infrastructure across Azure, AWS, and GCP using Terraform and Ansible.
  • Orchestrate and scale containerized applications using Kubernetes and Docker in production environments.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts in Python and Bash to improve system reliability and deployment speed.
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate security and compliance into the DevOps workflow (DevSecOps).
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues to ensure high availability.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning and retrospectives, to drive continuous improvement.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure architecture and deployment processes.
  • Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and advocate for DevOps best practices across the organization.
  • Ensure seamless Day 1 onsite integration in Piscataway, NJ or Erie, PA locations.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $145,000 – $195,000 per year (Estimated)
