Job Role: Azure Functions Event Grid SME
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Azure Functions Event Grid SME to join our team. This role is crucial for designing and implementing serverless solutions that leverage Azure Functions and Event Grid. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java/microservices and extensive hands-on experience with Azure cloud services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement serverless solutions using Azure Functions and Azure Durable Functions with Java.
- Build event-driven architectures leveraging Azure Service Bus and Azure Event Grid.
- Deploy, manage, and optimize containerized Java applications on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
- Integrate Azure services into enterprise Java applications, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines for Java-based workloads.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in distributed systems and microservices environments.
- Perform as a key contributor to an engineering team that builds and supports exceptional products that provide innovative solutions to challenging business use cases and existing system and operational problems.
Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of experience designing and developing secure applications and products.
- Experience with developing, configuring, and deploying applications on Microsoft Azure or any other cloud platform.
- Very strong hands-on experience with:
- Azure Functions and Azure Durable Functions using Java
- Azure Service Bus (messaging and queueing)
- Azure Event Grid (event routing and pub/sub)
- Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) (container orchestration)
- Proficiency in Java 11+, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
- Strong knowledge of Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Bicep.
- Experience with monitoring and logging using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, etc.
- Solid understanding of security best practices in Azure (RBAC, Managed Identities, Networking).
Additional Information:
This is a hybrid role requiring in-person interviews in the final round at Delta offices. Candidates must be authorized to work on a W2 basis.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $120,000 – $160,000 per year (Estimated)
