About the Role:

We are seeking experienced Azure Ops/FinOps Engineers to join our team and assist Spirit in optimizing and reducing monthly Azure consumption. This role is crucial for modernizing our deployment practices, reducing manual operational overhead, and evaluating opportunities to streamline our environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • FinOps & Cost Optimization:
    • Continuous monitoring of resource utilization and billing data.
    • Identification and execution of cost-saving measures (right-sizing, orphaned resource cleanup, reservation management).
    • Implementation of governance policies to enforce budget constraints.
    • Breakdown of costs by resource/tag to highlight optimization opportunities.
  • Engineering & Automation (DevOps):
    • Development and maintenance of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates (e.g., Terraform/Bicep).
    • Integration of IaC into existing CI/CD pipelines to ensure standardized deployments.
    • Improving system resiliency and performance in collaboration with Application and Product teams.
  • Architecture & Rationalization:
    • Conducting Well-Architected Reviews of Azure accounts.
    • Feasibility analysis and technical assistance for migration initiatives, such as Citrix to Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) transitions.
    • Evaluating workload placement strategies, including the potential repatriation of non-production environments to on-premises infrastructure where cost-effective.
  • Operations & Support:
    • General administrative support for Azure accounts.
    • Incident troubleshooting and resolution.
    • Enforcement of security and compliance policies.

Required Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in Azure Operations and FinOps.
  • Proven track record in cost optimization and cloud resource management.
  • Strong understanding of DevOps principles and practices.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Bicep).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience in architecture reviews and rationalization.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $120,000 – $160,000 per year (Estimated)

Location: Diana Beach, FL
