Role Overview: Azure PaaS Solution Architect
Siri InfoSolutions Inc is seeking a highly experienced and visionary Azure PaaS Solution Architect for a critical 12-month contract engagement based onsite in Montvale, NJ. This role is designed for a technical leader with over 10 years of experience who can bridge the gap between complex business requirements and cutting-edge cloud technology. As a senior architect, you will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of cloud-native applications, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and highly available.
Key Responsibilities and Technical Depth
- Azure PaaS Ecosystem: Design and implement sophisticated solutions using the full spectrum of Azure Platform-as-a-Service offerings. This includes deep hands-on work with Application Service Environments (ASE), Azure SQL Database, and SQL Managed Instance. You will be the primary architect for data-heavy workloads utilizing Azure Databricks and Synapse Analytics.
- Serverless and Containerization: Lead the transition to modern compute models by leveraging Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and WebApps. You will manage containerized environments using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Container Apps, and Azure Container Registry, ensuring seamless deployment and orchestration.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Drive automation across the enterprise by creating and maintaining complex automation templates using BICEP and Terraform. You will ensure that all infrastructure is version-controlled and reproducible.
- Security and Authentication: Implement rigorous Azure authentication methods and identity management protocols to protect sensitive corporate data. You will work closely with security teams to ensure all PaaS and IaaS services meet compliance standards.
- AI and Emerging Technologies: Stay at the forefront of innovation by integrating Azure AI Services into business workflows. You will also provide architectural guidance on emerging platforms such as Microsoft Purview and Microsoft Fabric to enhance data governance and analytics capabilities.
- Architectural Documentation: Produce high-quality technical documentation, including High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) diagrams. You will be expected to present these designs to stakeholders and implementation partners for approval.
Professional Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 10 years of professional experience in IT, with a significant portion dedicated to Microsoft Azure architecture. We are looking for a professional who not only understands the ‘how’ but also the ‘why’ behind architectural decisions. Experience with .NET or Python coding is highly preferred to assist in troubleshooting and custom integration tasks. Furthermore, proficiency in Azure DevOps and GitHub is essential for maintaining a modern CI/CD pipeline. This role requires a physical presence at our client’s Montvale, NJ facility, fostering close collaboration with the local engineering and product teams.
Special Requirements
Onsite requirement in Montvale, NJ. AI-102 certification preferred. Azure Solutions Architect Certification preferred. 12-month contract duration.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $190,000 – $250,000 per year (Estimated)
