Job Overview
We are seeking a talented Backend Developer with expertise in Node.js, NestJS, and Go to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial for developing and maintaining scalable backend services, migrating existing services, and supporting cloud-based applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of backend architectural best practices and experience with cloud environments, particularly AWS.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using NestJS, Go, and Node.js.
- Execute the migration of services from NestJS to Go as required by project needs.
- Enhance existing Node.js services by resolving bugs and implementing new features.
- Develop and support cloud-based applications, with a preference for AWS.
- Implement and manage RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code, ensuring adequate unit and integration test coverage.
- Apply established design patterns and best practices to backend architecture.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of professional backend development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with NestJS, Go, and Node.js.
- Proficiency in TypeScript.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and cloud environments (AWS preferred).
- Familiarity with unit and integration testing frameworks.
- Solid understanding of backend architectural best practices.
Additional Information
This is a contract role located in San Francisco, CA. It is a hybrid position, requiring 2 days of onsite presence per week. The role involves working with modern backend technologies and contributing to the development of robust, scalable applications.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $110,000 – $150,000 per year (Estimated)
