Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Backend Developer with a deep specialization in the Microsoft technology stack. This role is specifically designed for professionals who have previously worked on Microsoft enterprise projects or have direct experience within Microsoft environments. As a Backend Developer focusing on .NET and C#, you will be responsible for the architectural design, development, and maintenance of high-performance backend services and RESTful APIs that power complex enterprise applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable backend services using C# and .NET Core/.NET frameworks, ensuring high availability and reliability.
- Develop and enhance microservices architectures, focusing on integration endpoints, API versioning, and robust error handling.
- Optimize database performance by writing complex SQL Server queries, stored procedures, and designing efficient database schemas.
- Implement advanced security protocols, including OAuth2, JWT, and Azure AD patterns, to ensure secure data transmission and storage.
- Maintain high code quality through rigorous unit testing, comprehensive code reviews, and adherence to secure coding practices.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions across multiple environments (DEV/TEST/UAT/PROD).
- Conduct root cause analysis for production incidents and deliver timely hotfixes while improving system observability and monitoring.
- Produce detailed technical documentation and facilitate knowledge transfer sessions within the engineering team.
Technical Requirements
- Extensive hands-on experience in backend development using C# and the .NET ecosystem.
- Proven track record of building and deploying RESTful APIs and microservices in a cloud-native environment.
- Expert-level proficiency in SQL Server, including performance tuning, indexing strategies, and T-SQL development.
- Strong command of Git-based version control and modern engineering workflows such as branching strategies and pull request reviews.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in an Agile, fast-paced development environment.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Prior experience working on Microsoft projects or within Microsoft enterprise engagements is strictly required.
- Ability to work from the Redmond office at least 3 days per week (Hybrid model).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
Special Requirements
Mandatory: Prior experience working on Microsoft projects / Microsoft enterprise engagements. Hybrid: Willing to work from office a minimum of 3 days a week in Redmond.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $145,000 – $195,000 per year (Estimated)
