Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bigdata Engineer with expertise in Cloudera Platform management and configuration. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Big Data technologies and a proven ability to design, implement, and maintain robust data solutions.

  • Location: Bloomington, Illinois (Remote)
  • Experience: 11+ years
  • Key Skills: Cloudera Platform management configuration, Cloudera HDFS Hive Yarn Spark Kafka HBase, Cloudera Data Platform (installation, configuration, patching, scaling, performance tuning), Kerberos, Ranger, Sentry, HDFS encryption, Backup and recovery strategies, High Availability for Name Node, Resource Manager, Hive, Azure cloud operations for data platforms and IAM, advanced technical troubleshooting, root cause analysis, Data Ingestion and data curation pipelines, Hybrid cloud based platforms.
  • Secondary Skills (Nice to have): Work code management, Experience on other DATA platforms like Tableau, BO with respect to user access management, Experience with SQL, HQL.
  • Responsibilities:
    • Lead requirement gathering and solution design discussions with business stakeholders, ensuring alignment with strategy.
    • Platform configuration for customers (Cloudera, Azure Platform).
    • Lead end-to-end platform operations for Cloudera Data Platform.
    • Ensure Platform reliability and availability.
    • Experience in Designing, developing, and supporting Data Ingestion and data curation pipelines.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Cloudera and Azure platforms to support Hybrid cloud based platforms.
    • Provide advanced technical troubleshooting and root cause analysis across platform components.
    • Support Azure cloud operations for data platforms and IAM.
    • Plan and manage file system management.
    • Hands-on experience with Kerberos, Ranger, Sentry, and HDFS encryption.
    • Implement and maintain Backup and recovery strategies.
    • Design and maintain High Availability for Name Node, Resource Manager, Hive, etc.
    • Mentoring junior developers with support.
  • Qualifications:
    • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience on Cloudera Platform management and configuration.
    • Hands-on experience with Cloudera HDFS, Hive, Yarn, Spark, Kafka, HBase.
    • Experience with Cloudera Data Platform including installation, configuration, patching, scaling, and performance tuning.
    • Strong ability to work with client stakeholders.
    • Ability to have requirement discussions with customer stakeholders.
    • Excellent communication, problem-solving skills, leadership, and organizational abilities to effectively interact with stakeholders, colleagues, and other members of the team.
    • Organized and self-directed.
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.

Compensation & Location
