Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Boomi Developer to join our dynamic IT team. This role is integral to our client’s digital transformation initiatives, focusing on designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise integrations using the Boomi platform. You will be instrumental in integrating critical systems, ensuring secure data exchange, and enhancing operational efficiency across various departments.
The Boomi Developer will collaborate closely with IT teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors to implement scalable and robust integrations between cloud and on-premise systems. This position requires a strong understanding of integration patterns, API management, and data transformation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Integration Development & Design: Design, develop, test, and deploy integrations using the Boomi platform. Build and maintain integration processes using Boomi Atoms and Molecules.
- API Development: Implement API-based integrations using REST and SOAP services. Develop reusable integration components and templates.
- System Integration: Integrate various enterprise systems including ERP, CRM, Financial, HR, and Public Service applications. Support integrations with platforms such as Salesforce, Workday, ServiceNow, and Oracle.
- API & Data Management: Design and manage APIs using Boomi API Management. Implement complex data transformations using Boomi mapping tools. Develop secure integrations adhering to cybersecurity policies.
- Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Monitor integration performance using Boomi dashboards and logs. Troubleshoot integration failures and data issues promptly. Optimize integration performance and scalability.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for integration architecture, APIs, integration workflows, and configurations. Follow City of Austin IT governance and documentation standards.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years of experience in enterprise integration development.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Dell Boomi.
- Experience integrating cloud and on-premise systems.
Technical Skills:
- Boomi Atmosphere platform
- REST / SOAP APIs
- JSON / XML data structures
- SQL and database integrations
- API security and authentication (OAuth, JWT)
- Understanding of integration patterns and middleware concepts
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms (e.g., Azure).
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience in public sector or municipal IT environments.
- Boomi Professional Developer Certification.
Key Competencies:
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to manage multiple integrations simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to interact with both technical and non-technical teams.
- Understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks.
