Job Title: Business Analyst
We are partnering with one of our top clients to fill a Business Analyst role. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in business analysis, particularly within the energy, utilities, or tech-driven industries. As a Business Analyst, you will serve as a critical link between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that business needs are accurately translated into effective technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives, processes, and challenges.
- Elicit, document, and validate business and technical requirements using interviews, workshops, and use case analysis.
- Translate business needs into functional specifications and user stories.
- Work closely with developers, QA, and product managers to ensure requirements are clearly understood and implemented.
- Analyze existing systems and processes to identify improvement opportunities.
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and solution validation.
- Create process models, data flow diagrams, and workflow charts as needed.
- Communicate project status, risks, and outcomes to stakeholders clearly and regularly.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field.
- 3 to 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in energy, utilities, or tech driven industries.
- Strong understanding of business process modeling, requirement elicitation, and documentation techniques.
- Proficient with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools like Jira, Confluence, or similar.
- Ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the energy/utilities domain or with renewable energy projects.
- Knowledge of SQL, BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and compliance in the energy sector.
- Business Analysis certifications (CBAP, CCBA, etc.) are a plus.
